About the instructor
Aniket Gawande founded Guitar Classes in Mumbai in 2017. The service uses a home-tuition model: Aniket travels to the learner's location rather than asking students to attend classes at his home.
The current program is designed for learners from age 12 through 65, including complete beginners, adults starting later in life, returning players and people who want to learn together at the same location.
Teaching focus
The lessons emphasise practical playing rather than collecting disconnected exercises. Core areas include chord changes, strumming and rhythm, playing while singing, listening, technique and understanding enough about the instrument to become less dependent on step-by-step tutorials.
How Aniket teaches
The teaching approach is practical and individual. Lessons are not built around asking every learner to move through the same material at the same speed. The current level, musical goals and specific playing problems determine what receives attention.
What the lessons commonly work on
Chord changes: cleaner fretting and smoother movement between usable chord shapes.
Rhythm and strumming: steadier timing and repeatable patterns that support actual songs.
Playing while singing: coordinating guitar rhythm with vocals when this is part of the learner's goal.
Listening and independence: understanding enough about rhythm, chord movement and song structure to become less dependent on tabs and step-by-step tutorials over time.
Who Aniket currently teaches
Aniket teaches learners aged 12 to 65. The service is intended for complete beginners, adults starting later in life, returning players and two or more people who want to learn together at the same home location.
What to expect before the first lesson
Because the service is home tuition, the first practical step is confirming the learner's Mumbai area and preferred time. Travel feasibility is checked before a slot is confirmed. The first lesson then starts from the learner's present ability rather than assuming previous music training.
The first class is free only with the complete 24-session course. Pay-as-you-go lessons are charged from the first class. See the current guitar lesson fees for published terms.
Lesson formats
The published program currently includes a 24-session course as well as pay-as-you-go 30-minute, 1-hour, 1.5-hour and 2-hour sessions. Availability depends on the learner's Mumbai location and the current teaching schedule.
Why the home-tuition model
For many Mumbai learners, travel is a meaningful part of the time cost of attending a class. The doorstep format removes the student's commute and allows the lesson to happen in the same environment where the learner normally practises.
